I started baking with my grandmother when I was 5 years old, and completely fell in love with it. What started out as a hobby I did with my grandmother, turned into my biggest passion and hopefully future career.

Sweet Kaia’s was created in November of 2016 when I was 11 years old. My first order was a few dozen cupcakes for a science-themed birthday party, and the business has grown exponentially ever since.

I’ve now been running Sweet Kaia’s for 8 years, and have made many desserts for a variety of events, including birthdays, graduations, school events, parties, and weddings. The business has also expanded its marketing through business cards, social media, pop-ups, and more.

Hi! My name is Kaia, I’m 19 years old, and I’m the owner and founder of Sweet Kaia’s. I found my love for baking when I was just 5 years old, and my passion for it has grown ever since. In the beginning, my grandmother taught me the basics, baking treats such as chocolate chip cookies, brownies, and box mix cakes. However, when I was 9, it started to become something more to me, and I started baking with my grandmother weekly. When I was 10, I decided that I wanted to pursue this as career, and since then I’ve been striving to later become a pastry chef, and transform Sweet Kaia’s from a home bakery into a store-front. Currently, I am a first-year college student, studying for a degree in Economics, and after graduating, I plan on going on to culinary school to pursue an associates degree in Pastry Arts.
