How it All Began

I started baking with my grandmother when I was 5 years old, and completely fell in love with it. What started out as a hobby I did with my grandmother, turned into my biggest passion and hopefully future career.

Starting Sweet Kaia’s

Sweet Kaia’s was created in November of 2016 when I was 11 years old. My first order was a few dozen cupcakes for a science-themed birthday party, and the business has grown exponentially ever since.

Sweet Kaia’s Today

I’ve now been running Sweet Kaia’s for 8 years, and have made many desserts for a variety of events, including birthdays, graduations, school events, parties, and weddings. The business has also expanded its marketing through business cards, social media, pop-ups, and more.

Meet the Owner

Hi! My name is Kaia, I’m 20 years old, and I’m the owner of Sweet Kaia’s. I found my love for baking when I was just 5 years old, and my passion for it has grown ever since. In the beginning, my grandmother taught me the basics, baking treats such as chocolate chip cookies, brownies, and box mix cakes. However, when I was 9, it started to become something more to me, and by the time I was 10, I decided I wanted to pursue this as a career. Since then, I’ve been striving towards the goal of becoming a pastry chef and transforming Sweet Kaia’s from a home bakery into a storefront. I’m currently in college studying Economics, and after graduating, I plan on going to culinary school for Pastry Arts to sharpen my skills before expanding Sweet Kaia’s.
